The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) was established at Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences in 2017 to function in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Directorate of the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) as its Local Quality Enhancement Cell.

Ensuring and promoting the quality of medical education at the undergraduate level and developing the best health and research practices.
To create educational standards at national and international levels with a high-quality profile in learning, research, development, and patient care.
QEC OBJECTIVES
To work with college Faculties to ensure the successful implementation of college quality assurance and enhancement policies and procedures.
To Plan, coordinate, and direct quality programs, initiatives, and activities to ensure the quality and reliability of all Academic programs.
Capacity building of its team through HEC training programs.
To Review processes to ensure that they align with current National / International Standards.
QEC RESPONSIBLITIES
QEC is responsible for the upgradation of the following.
·Annual monitoring and evaluation including program monitoring, faculty monitoring, and student perception.
