STUDENT AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT
Department works under the guidelines of NUMS and supervise all the matter related to student affairs encompassing following fields:
- Assist students in admission process, fee collection and hostel registration.
- Facilitate students in documentation and maintaining students academic records.
- Liaison between various educational / accreditation bodies like PM&DC, IBCC and educational bodies for verification of documents and providing students facilitation services.
- Monitoring academic progress of students and keep parents / guardians informed about their academic progress.

Major Zaffar Ali (Retd)
Major Zafar Ali (Retd) joined Karachi Institute of Medical sciences on 13th December 2017, as Assistant Director Student Affairs. He has over 24 years of varied experience in the field of student affairs, administration, HR and Security of Military. During his Career in Army he has served on various command and staff appointments. He was retired from station headquarter Malir, as station staff officer in 2007. Presently he is performing duties as Assistant director Admissions & Student Affairs in Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences.
